Erik is indulging me (he's so good to do that) in calling vacations "holidays" from now on. I just think it's more fun to say "we're going on holiday." We leave Wednesday morning and we'll come back on Sunday. I am very much looking forward to this weekend. Tomorrow we'll enjoy a lovely Valentine's dinner at Bombay Deluxe. The only Indian food in Alaska is at this tiny restaurant in Anchorage, so yet again...Erik is indulging me. Then he'll enjoy a day on the slopes on Thursday, and Friday is Temple day and cannery day. It's going to be a wonderful holiday. This first picture is a scene that we are looking forward to. In a few more months we may see the temple look like that.
But right now it'll look like this. Snowy and dark outside. Even with a landscape that's a little gray and gloomy, it seems impossible for the temple to be anything but lovely, you know what I mean? Doesn't it still look so warm and inviting?
Well, Happy Valentine's Day to you all. We sure love you.
